Hello, just uploaded 3.0 and it seems to pull data every few times, but not every time. I’ve set the defaults numerous ways — more details, less details, no details — and still no luck. I search the same info on Google base and tons of listings who up using the same search. I know support is additional but something isn’t quite right. Especially since it seems to work on and off.

Hello Greg – it may be a cache issue. Do you have a cache plugin installed on your blog? Please provide the url of your blog so we can take a look.

I have used the Real Shout Plug-in since it was released. I have even written about it on my various blogs and my column on NewsGeni.us. I think Google Base Real-Estate technologies are the way to go.

I just recently upgraded to the latest version and all the sudden it does not work. I am using WordPress 3.0.1 and Real Shout 3.0.

There are no drop downs in either the setup screen on the admin page or the website iteself when you try to do a search. Anyone else having similar issues?

    Hello Barrett,

This was tested on 3.0.1 and we see others have installed it live over the past 2 days since its release. Are there any errors writing out in your error logs? Are there any other special settings on your site such as multi-user environment, re-routes, mod_rewrites? What do you see when you go to the admin’s default search setting page?

I just test it. The realshout doesn’t support wordpress 3.0 mutlsite enable site, it can run on the primary top domain ony, it cannot be individually set by each subdomain. Would it be nice if add a wp prefix something like $wpdb->prefix to the table and link to each single admin panel?

    realshout says:

Yes this is correct. The current version is not compatible with multisite intall. We are hoping to have this functionality within our premier version we will be releasing.

Are you going to make the Realshout plug in available again? I’m not able to find it anymore?

Hello Alan – you can still download the plugin from http://www.realshout.com/wordpress-real-estate-plugin.php

Sorry, I just sent a message via your contact form before I found this forum.

Just wondering if anyone is experiencing the following with WP 3.01..

“Contact an Agent” button does nothing
“Go back” link and browser “back” button direct to “page expired” every time.
Default search settings do not appear how entered/saved
Searches only list about half of those via mls sites (Is there an option to upgrade?)

    thanks!

Contact Agent button works on other sites it has been installed on. Just tested it on a few recent installs and also on http://www.jenspwagner.com/

The back browser link doesn’t do that on our end. Could be a browser setting within your browser that expires pages?? On certain instances when clicking back, Firefox does display a message asking if you would like to resend the page. Clicking resend from the message then displays the page. This is a browser setting for handling form posts.

Can’t help you with the default search settings without knowing more about how you have that setup.

The plugin uses GoogleBase not the MLS so only the listings that Brokers or MLS feed to Google will be there. We do not have an MLS version. There are other paid plugins out there though that do pull solely from the MLS.

    Thanks for the prompt repsponse!

The site you gave me works fine for me as well, so it must be something on my end?

I am running IE 8 on my end. I just tested the site on Safari and the “back” actions work fine, but the contact buttons still dont display the popup.

my site is http://www.heatherdavishomes.com/ if you want to check it out on your end.

So, I shouldnt have to configure the contact us button(s) at all?

Thanks so much for your help. I’d love to be able to display the contact us windows!

    realshout says:

Hello Joe – no you do not need to configure the contact buttons. Do you have any other plugins installed that could be conflicting? The contact buttons use AJAX and Javascript. Do you have any other plugins on your site that use Ajax/Javascript that may be conflicting?

the .htaccess for seo urls shows this:
This feature will allow you to create SEO urls for the real estate search pages. This will be available in release 2.0
Please periodically visit the RealShout WP Plugin page to keep updated on future releases.
Any idea when it will be available?

    realshout says:

Hello Polo – at this time we do not have a date of when that will be available.

Hi there. I’m revisiting the contact an agent button issue. I understand that you offer paid support, but I was hoping my question is an easy one that will help future users who may have the same problem.

Since my “contact an agent” AND “contact us” buttons/text do not work properly, could you please tell me which file I can edit to just make the button and text link to my own contact page?

I can’t seem to find where that code is so I can modify it.

    Thanks!

    realshout says:

The contact button code is on the main realshout search php file.

Hello, Great plugin other than minor hicups here and there. I installed it this morning and now trying to make it work. Very easy to install and quite user friendly, a little more documentation would have been just great. I am hoping this’ll work in any where in the world as long as one is using the right country/state codes
